Jairo and Herber are finished their open water diver certification! Herber is really doing well and is going to start his advanced course right away as he wants to be a dive master. We had a couple of great dives last week as the vis was really good and there was lots of sealife out to have a visit with us. We saw a moray, an octopus, dolphin and 2 turtles.

We had a group go on a cavetubing tour. They enjoyed the trip and had a blast floating through the cave system on the tubes. After that they tried the zip line and had a thrill! One of our guests was a bit afraid but after she went she loved it. We finished the day off with a movie on the beach. Everybody enjoyed the experience of watching a movie outside … It was like being at the drive in, but on a beach with lawn chairs!

Had our moray friend come right out of his hole looking for us today! It was a bit alarming for Heather, but she did get a great picture of him coming up to see her. He seems to come out now to see us as soon as I shake the rattle to call him. We also saw a huge loggerhead turtle today. He hung around and swam only a couple of feet away! I got some really good photos of him.

We had some great weather yesterday! Took a group out to the sandbar and they had a fantastic time. There were 3 or 4 sting rays out there and got to laugh at a couple of pelicans fishing. They are not very graceful!
Our guests walked down to the aquarium and had a wonderful time chatting with the little boy that does the tours.

Fredis had the guests out diving again this morning. The diving has been very good so they are still doing 3 dives a day. Their night dive last night was great and the visibility was terrific. Coming back to Maria’s squash soup, Cornish game hen and chocolate soufflé was an extra treat!
They had great dives yesterday and got to swim with a very large loggerhead turtle. (You can see video of a loggerhead on the website). Heather, John and I wanted to go out but we were trapped in the office all day! Maybe tomorrow.

We had great day yesterday with our guests. Diving was fantastic with the vis exceeding 100 feet! Stopped to play with the dolphins on the way and saw two turtles just on the outside of the reef. Our friendly Moray was out to visit again and the guests thought that he was very entertaining.
On the beach, Sam spent the day chasing shells and supervising David in the gardens. We had a beach barbeque and David brought out his guitar and played by the fire.

WOW! Got to see a hammerhead shark today! What an incredible sight. I must admit, I was pretty intimidated but he (or she!) was beautiful! Lots of large groupers and snappers on the wall as well. It was a new dive site that we found and it had layers and layers of plate coral on the corner. Absolutely gorgeous! I can’t wait to go back again.
Fishing was terrific again today too. We got on to a school of
Tuna and had a great time with all the reels taking off at once several times.
To top off the day the dolphins escorted us home. Days like this make me forget that the rest of the world exists!
